Tips for making the best salmon (or tuna burgers)
- Form the patties firmly. Meaning press the mixture into a firm ball & then flatten it out before putting it on the pan. I found the patties & formed into a more firm/pressed patty held together better than the ones I didn’t do this to.
- Reapply the oil to the pan after each ‘batch’. I used an avocado oil spray after each 3 patties I made, since my pan was big enough for 3 at a time. Then I sprayed it again for the next batch to prevent the patties from sticking.
- Cook the patties on medium/high heat not high heat. The couple patties I cooked on high burned a lot easier on me. I found med/high heat cooked the patties the best while also browning the outside nicely without burning them!
- After each flip, gently press the patties down. This I found help them cook more evenly & also helped them hold together better!
How to store these Whole-30 + Keto Salmon Burgers With A Lemon Garlic Sauce
I stored these in an air-sealed container in the fridge. I like to store my homemade sauces in a mason jar for up to a week as well. However, they usually don’t last that long!
What to serve these salmon (or tuna) burgers with?
I like to have these on top of a salad, with roasted vegetables or in a lettuce bun/wrap! They are really good with anything & add a great dose of flavour & protein to your meals.

What are the size cans for this recipe and how big are the patties?
I used both 142g cans & 213g cans & both sizes resulted in great burgers. In the instructions I mention that I formed my patties with about 1/3 cup of mixture per patty. I found this worked best but you can also make them bigger or smaller if you would prefer! Let me know how you get along with them 🙂 I hope you love the recipe!
Do you think you can bake these instead of pan fry?
I think that could definitely work! I am not sure how long exactly to bake them for but please keep me posted if you try this method!
